Peter Maniatis has been promoting boxing and managing boxers since 1998. He has travelled all over the world checking out the boxing scene. The first boxer he managed was Nick Tetoros who achieved #8 WBO world rating. Now he manages Randy Petalcorin (WBA Light Flyweight World Champion), Harmonito Della Torre, and Fernando Lumacat. Maniatis in Australian Television Peter Maniatis hosts TV KO BOXING SHOW on Channel 31 Tuesday nights 10:00pm and Saturdays at noon, with over 100,000 viewers per show for the best part of the last 13 years with over 450 shows.
This is one of the highest rating shows on channel 31 and has hosted Cathy Freeman, Kostya Tszyu, Jeff Fenech, Thomas Hearns, Johnny Famechon, Lionel Rose, Lester Ellis, Rocky Mattioli, Jeff Harding, Manny Pacquiao, Anthony Mundine, Azumah Nelson and many more. Peter, a member of the Australian Boxing Federation has presented great highlights from fights that have satisfied viewers since it began. Peter Maniatis is now progressing to starting the once very popular “TV Ringside” and is to be shown on channel 31 date and location TBA. Peter in his own right had an unbeaten boxing record.
He was trained by Kevin and Mick Hargraves in Port Melbourne and spent 6 months at the Wildcard Gym in LA with Freddie Roach. In 1997 he won the VABA Novice Heavyweight title in his first fight in 19 seconds of the first round over Mathew "Wild" Childs who hailed from Sydney but was based in Melbourne under the watchful eye of Leo Berry. In Sydney later that year at the Bondi Eastern League Club against tough Chris O'Sullivan, who hailed from Cronulla, Peter won that fight in the 2nd round by KO. This was a NSW Golden Gloves heavyweight tournament.

Peter has had the opportunity to manage both sports men and women alike, more notably is when he managed Nick Tetoros to being number eight boxer in the world and then also onto a kick boxing championship title. Peter also hosts one of the most popular TV shows on channel 31 called KO Boxing that has been on air for over ten years and 400 episodes, it can be found on Tuesday nights at 9:30pm and Saturday at noon. KO Boxing has featured interviews with Kostya Tszyu, Jeff Fenech Azumah Nelson Manny Pacquiao, Anthony Mundine, and Cathy Freeman plus many more world champs.
Other career highlights is when Peter hosted a boxing show on SEN 1116 radio, Radio Ringside and writing articles for various Boxing publications. All this experience has allowed Peter to win the multi-media boxing award in Victoria ten years in a row.
Peter has had hands on experience within the Boxing Industry having an unbeaten record which includes winning the Victorian State Title in 1998, however he had to retire due to an unfortunate shoulder injury. He has also appeared on Channel 2, Channel 7, Channel 9, Channel 10 Sports News, Channel 9 Footy Show, Foxtel, World Wide on ESPN Sports as well as in The AGE and Herald Sun newspaper which featured articles on him and his promotions.
